Hope everyone's having a good summer!

I know it's the time for bar-b-que's beer and all things bad for maintaining your physique so here area couple tips to help stay on track.

1. Eat before you attend that weekend cookout. An egg white omlette with veggies and fat-free cheese, a tuna sandwhich on whole wheat, or a protein shake will help curb your appetite and make it easier to say no to the burgers, chips and dogs.

2. No festive drinks. Margaritas, Pina Coladas, Bahama Mamas (whatever those are) are loaded with sugar, if you must indulge, ya know, to be social...try Grey Goose and seltzer with extra lime..very refreshing.

3. Pack your own food. Some may frown on this, but generally those are the ones with the beer bellies and skirt over the bottoms of their bathing suits. If you are serious about your diet and progress this is not a big deal. Those who know you will support you and the rest are just jealous ;)
